Carte Blanche tableware by Annebet Philips for Serax brings an artful twist to everyday dining as the form of a simple white porcelain mug is deconstructed and reimagined. The collection draws an unmistakable connection to Modern art and cubism of the 1920’s: softly angular shape, irregular contours and black, painterly lines give this porcelain piece a sense of movement, as if viewed from multiple angles at once. It's playful, like a comic book version of a tea cup!

Setting the table with Carte Blanche echos the fragmented forms seen in the works of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque in the 1920s. It’s tableware with a point of view: expressive, slightly offbeat, and effortlessly sophisticated in black and white.

This is the Dutch designer's first collection for Serax who are famous for their innovative, playful yet timeless design.
